The students of Zaikouji Youchien in Hyuga City made these 1,000 cranes out of paper.
I met Haruka a few times in the hospital. She remembered me a few weeks later after she had been discharged
from the hospital. So, I just had to commit her name to memory.
I couldn't have recovered without my prayer beads and Gongyo book. Nam Myoho Renge Kyo, everyone.
After the doctors removed my IV's, I had forgotten to drink liquids. I had been fed liquids for over
three months. One learns to be so dependent on the doctors and nurses, that one forgets to think for oneself. After
I noticed that I had become dehydrated, I forced myself to drink water.
I was allowed to "taste" liquids, but I was not allowed to swallow them. I have to confess that some of
the liquids leaked down my throat. But, I had to pay the price. I threw up regulary.
So many people brought me flowers, gifts and envelopes of money. I don't know how I am going to repay
them all.
